This is a free resource to help people remember the key rules when having a debate or carrying out a speaking and listening assessment. The resource helps learners to plan a response linked to the theme in my lesson: Functional Skills Reading, Writing and Speaking and Listening.
This is a fully differentiated lesson looking at key extracts of A Christmas Carol which helps learners to consolidate their understanding of the text and develop their ability at responding to exam-style questions.

This lesson was designed for anyone studying English Language Paper 2 with AQA. The lesson uses the theme of vaping to go through a question five response for paper two. I have found this to be a great discussion point for learners. The lesson has both reading and writing tasks as well as guidance on how to write an appropriate speech.

The booklet covers both the reading and writing elements of the functional skills course and builds on some of the most important skills to help learners stretch and challenge themselves to achieve. The booklet also comes with an answer booklet in order to enable students to take control of their own learning and to check their understanding.

The quiz has three separate rounds which help assess learners ability to: Recall key contextual information about the poets, Identify the missing elements from key quotations and assess who has an in-depth understanding of the poems and what they may need to work on in the future.

This is a fully differentiated lesson looking at the poem London from the Power and Conflict anthology. The lesson can be taught over two hours and has many opportunities for ALF. The lesson guides students through some of the key aspects of context around the poem, key poetic techniques and also gives then a detailed understanding of the poem. In addition, this lesson comes with an independent learning task to help learners develop their understanding of the poetry cluster.
